This year we are going to have a mentoring program for newbies! It will feature things like a tour of the whole party place (including some orga areas), mini seminars about things like how to upload a competition entry to Partymeister, and, of course, mentors you can ask any questions that you may have. There may also be some tables reserved just for you (depending on how many people are interested) so you will get a "shared experience" with all your fellow first time visitors. But even if you are not a newbie, you can take part in touring the previously unseen orga areas for Q&A sessions to find out what we actually do or just to take a look behind the scenes to see where all the magic happens - or even help us out in guiding the newbies by becoming a mentor yourself!
The tours and the tiny seminars will be held by orgas, but we are still in need of at least 5 people who would like to help out by becoming mentors. The only things that are important if you want to be a mentor: don't be a newbie, and you will have to be present at the party place from Friday 4:30 pm (16:30) at the latest for a short briefing, until sometime on Monday; also you need to not have anything planned between Friday 6 pm (18:00) and 8 pm (20:00) (we WILL take a break in between so everyone can watch the opening ceremony, don't worry! :). All the rest should come naturally if you have some experience in being a demoscener, as your scope of duties will only be to be a personal contact person for newbies, taking care of any party/demoscene-related questions that may arise, and possibly getting the newbies from place A to B. Plus you will get an awesome flag installed at your seat in the hall so newbies will be able to spot and find you in the crowd easily in case they need anything.
